Las Vegas casino fines

Casinos get fined by state and local regulators for lots of things.  As I run across some of those cases, I’ll list them here.

Caesars Entertainment (allowed excluded bookmaker to play) • November 2025

Caesars was fined $7.8 million for allowing an illegal bookmaker to gamble at its properties. (LVRJ) 

Luxor + Aria (religious discrimination) • July 2025

The casinos agreed to make policy changes after employees charged they were refused religious accommodations to the casinos’ COVID-19 vaccine policy.  It’s not clear from the various reporting if this was a lawsuit with a settlement paid to employees, or if the casinos got a fine from the feds.  In the recent Venetian religious discrimination case, it was definitely a lawsuit with a settlement paid to employees. (LVRJ) 

MGM Resorts (allowing money laundering) • May 2025

Fine expected to be $8.5 million. (Nevada Current) 

Resorts World (allowing money laundering) • April 2025

Fined $10.5 million. (Nevada Current) 

MGM Resorts (allowing money laundering) • 2024

Fined $7.45 million. (Nevada Current)
