Best thing about Bovada:

Play for free
with no hassles

Most online casinos insult you with popups and spam, and they give you the hard sell even if you just want to try their free-play games.  Fortunately there's Bovada, which is the opposite.  That's the primary reason they're the only online casino I accept advertising from.

  • No registration required.  Most casinos let you play for free with fake money, but there's a catch: They make you register an account first.   That's not just a hassle: after you register you can expect them to badger you by email trying to get you to deposit real money.  But Bovada lets you play right away without forcing you to register an account.  Just close any registration boxes that appear, and then you can play without registering.  Here, try it.
  • Plays right in your browser.  If you'd rather not download the casino software to your computer or phone, you don't have to.  The games play right in your web browser.  Nice.
  • Works on Macs.  The play-in-browser games are MacOS compatible!  Before Bovada, Mac users were pretty much out of luck for gambling online, even for free-play.  Not any more.

Bovada's not perfect, but there's no better site serving most of the U.S.

Older versions of my strip map

Cartoonish map

Here's my cartoonish map of the strip, but I stopped updating it in 2022.

Maps from other websites

If you don't like my maps, here are some others I found.  Some of them are quite dated, though.

Other Maps of the Strip

  • 3D map with little buildings (2019).  This is the very best map of the strip, which I wish I'd been clever enough to make.  Each casino is depicted with a small drawing of its building, making it really easy to understand.  It doesn't show the monorail stops, but here's a similar strip map from the Monorail company which does.  The only downside of these maps are that they're wide rather than tall, and hard to view on phones, even if you turn your phone sideways.
  • Dave Miller Gaming (2021).  This is the second-best map of the strip, another one I wish I'd been clever enough to think of making.  Each casino is depicted with its logo, making it both visually interesting and easy to understand.
  • Las Vegas How-To (2019).  It's decent enough.  Their best idea was putting circle markers next to the labels so you can see exactly where the casinos are.  I used that as inspiration to make the first map above.
  • La Epic Club Crawls (circa 2018).  If you like simple and easy, you're not gonna do better than this one.
  • Hot Mama's map (circa 2018).  Any description I type wouldn't do it justice, you have to see it.  Visually awesome, I'm a fan.
  • CheapoVegas (2013).  Their soft design was the inspiration for my second map, above.
  • Vegas Today & Tomorrow (2011).  A dizzying buffet of maps.  Take a look at the Strip with construction since 2003 highlighted in green, or see a color-coded map of which companies own which casinos.
  • Historical Map (2007).  Shows not just what hotels are on the strip, but which ones used to be there.

Maps of hotel interiors

Vegas strip properties are big.  Sometimes you'll need a map to navigate inside the casino!  You can see such maps at Vegas Casino Info.

My to-do list

  • Alphabetical index of live casinos
  • Alphabetical index of defunct casinos
  • Add mile markers
  • Revive the picture-based map
  • Add pics, prices, booking links
  • Option to hide dead casinos

Practice gambling with play money

Before you throw down your hard-earned cash in a casino, PRACTICE FIRST!  Learn the games with play money where it doesn't cost you anything if you lose.  Seriously.

You can play Bovada's games (below) right away without registering for an account.  Most every other online casino makes you give up your email address just to play the fake-money games — ugh.  That's the main reason Bovada is the only online casino that gets advertising space on my site.  (When you see the registration box, you can cancel it and proceed to the game without registering.)
